AI Engineer Intern
We're an early-stage team looking for an AI Engineer Intern to help us build and test the first generation of LLM-powered features and internal automation. You'll write real Python, ship real prototypes, and get direct mentorship from senior engineers on how modern AI systems are actually put together — data plumbing, model integration, prompt design, and the evaluation work that makes any of it trustworthy.
Why this role exists
We want to integrate modern AI models and APIs into both our internal workflows and our core product, and we need hands-on help exploring what's possible. Your job is to take structured data from our warehouse, wire it through LLMs and Python tooling, and turn it into functional prototypes we can evaluate and iterate on. You'll learn — and help us codify — what "good" looks like for AI features at our stage.
What you'll do
Data-to-model pipelines. Write clean, readable Python using Pandas and NumPy to pull structured data out of the warehouse, shape it, and feed it into LLMs or PyTorch models. The goal is prototypes that are easy for a senior engineer to review, extend, and eventually productionize.
LLM prototyping and prompt work. Experiment with prompt design, structured output, and LLM integrations to automate internal tasks. You'll try things, read the outputs carefully, and learn to tell the difference between "the demo worked once" and "this actually behaves reliably."
Benchmarking and documentation. Assist senior engineers in measuring prototype behavior — latency, cost per call, output quality on a small labeled set — and document what you find. Clear write-ups of what works, what doesn't, and why are as valuable as the code itself.
What we're looking for
Solid Python fundamentals — you're comfortable writing scripts, reading tracebacks, and structuring code into functions and modules.
Working familiarity with Pandas and NumPy from coursework, projects, or prior internships.
Exposure to PyTorch (a class project or tutorial-level fluency is fine).
Curiosity about LLMs and modern AI tooling, and a willingness to read documentation carefully before asking for help.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Written communication strong enough to document what you built and why.
Nice to have
Any hands-on experience with LangChain or LangGraph.
A side project involving an LLM API (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models).
Familiarity with Git and basic software engineering hygiene (branches, PRs, code review).
What success looks like
By the end of the internship, you'll have shipped at least one functional AI workflow prototype — a tested, documented script or micro-service that extracts structured warehouse data, passes it through an AI model, and produces actionable summaries the team can use. You'll have written the code, measured how it behaves, and documented it clearly enough that a senior engineer can pick it up and take it further.
Logistics
Fully remote from Egypt. Internship position on a small engineering team (2-5 people) at an early-stage company. You'll work directly with senior engineers with regular 1-on-1 mentorship.
Benefits
Direct 1-on-1 mentorship from senior AI engineers
Fully remote work
Portfolio of real, production-adjacent AI projects
Exposure to modern LLM and agent tooling end-to-end
